Abstract:
In this lecture we discuss the role of big data science in our understanding of the synthesis and properties of nanoporous materials. For many practical applications of nanoporous materials it is important to design a material with not only the right chemistry but also the right pore shape. We will show how one can quantify similarity of pore shapes and how this can be used
to understand the performance of these materials. In addition, we show how machine learning can be used for the synthesis of these materials.
